I've happy to announce I've been invited to host the Pinup Pageant at the Forth Lake Havasu Rockabilly Reunion!
It's a fabulous family friendly event that takes place in the beautiful city of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Feb 17th-19th. There will be hot rods galore! Great local and West Coast Rockabilly bands, tons of shopping, great food and of course, loads of beautiful pinup girls.

This year we have shaken things up a bit, there will be two queens crowned, Miss Rockabilly and Miss Psychobilly! They will each win $750 cash and the top 12 will get tons of goodies from our sponsors! I can't wait to host this pageant and see you all there!

The stylists had been making plans for over 2 months and i'd been spending every Sunday making plans and doing walk thru's. I love being involved in such artistic and fun events, and the stylists really are top talent so i was of course proud to be a part of the team. I get my hair done by Sondra at Saints & Scissors, and she's honestly the best, I recently had my hair cut super short cause i'd damaged it so much doing it myself (womp womp), so now it's on the road to recovery. Anyway, on with the show!

Our theme was 'The Greatest Show Ever!' a freak show circus. We all had awesome characters, i was a Magician and under my hat were some rabbit ears, i even had red contacts in, which was the weirdest thing ever cause i've never worn them before, i felt kinda drunk cause my eyesight was all fuzzy!

I had a fabulous outfit made by the lovely Elise at Sweet Carousel Corsetry, she's an amazing designer and with a very vague idea from me, she came up with this fabulousness!! Here's a close up of my creepy red eyes and makeup!


My friend Austin was a snake charmer and had a snake made up of hair with flashing eyes, it looked amazing! And Faith was a bearded Lady, i've always had beard envy but never as much as i have for her beard on Sunday!haha



After what felt like an eternity we were led downstairs to the bar to wait for the judges decision, I met this gorgeous lady who was with one of the other salon's, their theme was 40's glamour and they all looked absolutely gorgeous!!! I was jealous of their pretty hair.
I think her name was Lauren, she told me she was moving to London this year to study :)


So the top 3 salons get through to nationals and compete to be the best salon in the country!!!
And after lots of anticipation the 3 salons were called.... we came..... 1st!!!!!
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

We went insane! I think we were screaming and jumping up and down for a good twenty minutes, the other salons probably thought we were mental!haha But after all that work, and such tough competition from the other salon's we were just totally amazed that it was finally over and we achieved what we wanted.

I picked them all up from the Biltmore hotel on Friday morning and headed to Studio 8 downtown.
I love working with Nicolle as she always has a great vision and works with the best team of people, we had a fabulous makeup artist and hair stylist to make us pretty and Erika had 2 sets each for us to wear.

Here are some shots so far, we had a lot of fun with the pineapples!

It's always a pleasure working with Nicolle and i got to make some new pretty friends with Andi and Megan. We all got to hang out after at a lovely vegan cafe in town and then headed off for a weekend of debauchery at Hell City :)
